Perhaps Ken Dodd's dad decided to do something about it?At my son's school we have to send them in with a pound for Father's/Mother's Day so they can choose a present to wrap and give to us. Unsuprisingly it is something shit, but because he chooses it himself he is always immensely proud of what he gives.
