What, wrong about not being culturally British?
thanks Q dog, thanks for all the time you've spent being me.

It means a lot.

because that's not what you said
you said "I'm not British, I'm Scottish."

which is clearly wrong, our school system let you down though, not your fault

Actually Q dog, I was schooled in Scotland, which has the better educational system, thanks for taking an interest.
Plus, 'British' has two meanings- one geographical and the other cultural, as does Scottish. I was using the cultural meaning.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, but we paid for it for you

Nope.
Wrong there. Especially considering it was Aberdeenshire, which in the 80s was at the peak of its (still considerable) oil wealth, hence local and income tax receipts being rather high.

You are from Britain though, soz.
Though I do get what you mean when you distinguish between culturally British and British by geography.
(, Mon 2 Jul 2012, 15:43, Reply)
I know where I'm from thanks, but my initial 'Scottish not British' declaration was one of cultural identity.
