I'm thinking about joining a gym,
it's about £40 a month, or £20 if I get £25 health insurance, I'm not sure to be honest.

I really wouldn't bother.
I stupidly signed up to an 18 month contract and I've hardly been since I do all my running outside.

Buy a bike, or some trainers, and just exercise outdoors.

It's got a pool and I want to get into swimming before work.
I'm going to buy month on month membership, 12-18 month contracts are shit.

How much does it cost per session at your local pool?
Think about how often you will realistically go.

I've done all this, it's £3 but it doesn't open early enough and after work it's full of kids.
£40 is a decent amount of money, but if I'm not using it enough I'll just cancel after a month.

Make sure you can do that and you're not locked in.

it's cheaper if I sign up for 12 months but I can't be arsed with that.

Our local gym is a cunt
They sign you up but when you try and cancel they say that the debit payments are done through a third party company so you have to phone them to cancel, this third party company are shit and never cancel properly, no-one takes responsibility and when you finally manage to cancel a refund is pretty much impossible to get.

mine is like £20 a month and if i want to stop, i just cancel the direct debit.

(, Fri 6 Jul 2012, 10:52, Reply)
£40 a month is cheaper than £15 a week, Mont
