It's a money/protective parents thing.
I wasn't allowed to go up to Melbourne by myself as a teenager, and I haven't had the money since I started university to go see the bands I wanted to.

I quite often see a mate's band play in the bar that I go to, but it's not the same as seeing someone like Pink or Crowded House or Snow Patrol.
The annoying this is, my brother was allowed to see whatever he liked from when he was about 15 years old. I was 18 and not allowed to go!
