When I was in my teens my step father educated me in music appreciation using his vinyl collection At about the time all my stupid friends were listening to the spice girls I was listening to Led Zep, ACDC, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc. My sister however was in to NU-metal. I'd take the spice girls over nu-metal any day.
Oh Peteloaf once had an argument with a HMV guy because they didn't stock Papa Roach. HAhahahahahaaa

'Getting Away With Murder' wasn't a bad album at allThe upside to albums that aren't as well received in that genre is that you won't then have the songs hammered into your skull by Kerrang, etc
