i think in this case Naked Ape has a small point
he's right that supermarkets try to tailor what's on offer to what you buy and that, big sellers and what they want to shift up front, and your loyalty card is just their way of keeping track of what you buy, so that they can sell you more or similar products

so while it's not specifically aimed at every individual, they do market and present based on their own data what they know people are buying and what they want to push that week
