i think there will inevitably be people who lose out from having unattainable dreams, but even if a small percentage go on to be fitter, and more succesful, then it's a good thing. I reckon the positives outweigh the negatives.

Totally agreeI don't think there are any negatives really...But there are parents out there that will say 'fuck it, why should my kid focus on their studies when they can run around after a football instead?'
There are plenty of these sort of people out there. Then the country will be saturated by sports obsessed youngsters that can barely read.
