They pointed out that they originally planned a clever system of phased traffic lightsbut at the last minute thought "fuck it, roundabouts it is" and that by allowing you to drive a 60mph everywhere it pushed all the shops back from the roads and made it souless and unpleasant.
Which is all spot on.

I prefer roundabouts to traffic lights.And yeah, it's souless when you're on a dual carrigeway. The north circular isn't exactly pleasant.

That's where you're wrong.You can talk to the gypsys that try and wash your windscreen and they draw a little heart in soap suds first so you like them even though you are waving at them and shouting "FUCK OFF".
