Never been called. Dunno, at least the guy was being honest.
Do you get paid for jury service, or is it just expenses?
The Fonz was on jury service, he played it waaayyy cool, and got the guy acquited.

Expenses. We got £5 a day for lunch, I think, which was on a card that could only be used in the bloody canteen (which was awful).
I think they do petrol/train fare too.

You can even claim back expenses for riding there on a bike

Mileage, amazingly enough
One of the lads from work did it a few weeks ago

I can get that at work.
it's to pay for wear and tear on the bike and replacement parts.
Mostly it's to free up a carparking space at the site.

How much is it, out of interest?

(, Tue 11 Sep 2012, 10:35, Reply)
20p-25p a mile I think.

That would be about a fiver a day for me if they did it here.
Hm.
