I'm extremely well read and very creative.
Also have an Honours degree in literature, hence my disdain for SF and fantasy. Not to mention graphic 'novels'.

how good a degree, just out of curiosity?

what does that mean?
Ah, sorry. I see.

One more A and I would have got a First.

just wonder if you did better in your lit degree than I did in mine, not that I think it's relevent but as you were willy waving I thought I'd ssee if mine was bigger. :)
Edit: ah,, 2.1 like me then.

I specialised in Postmodernism/American fiction.
I'll go back and do a masters on Blank Generation fiction when I can afford it.

And I constantly have at least two books on the go, so lolling at the 'for those who read a lot' comment. There's a fairly big difference between reading SF and Fantasy and reading literary fiction.

Can't be that good if he disdains genre novels simply for their genre
smells like a third to me.

thing about DOze is he needs someone to look down on
if it makes him happy....

nope.
High 2.1.

I find the term 'genre novels' really funny by the way.

I have no real beef with SF as a genre; I like William Gibson and I love JG Ballard. But the whole epic novels thing is just really fucking childish. I'm posting from my phone so don't really fancy outlining my critical objections to 'genre novels', but I very much do know what I'm talking about.

You're an illiterate unimaginative bender
And I very much do know what I'm talking about.

Nope, nope and nope.
Sorry to be the bearer etc etc.

If you want to believe you're literate
I won't argue. Despite your clear demonstration otherwise.
