Are you a QOTWer? Do you want to start a thread that isn't a direct answer to the current QOTW? Then this place, gentle poster, is your friend.

I'm so fucking old I can still remember when QOTW was worth reading. Sadly, those days are long gone, and it's rare I make it through the so-called 'best of'.
Whatever happened to good manners, you fuckers, and illiterate fuckers at that.
Poo to you all:
YOU'RE JUST A BUNCH OF WANKERS.
And good-bye.

FUCK YOU
I gave up flouncing when you were still wondering what a girl's bottom looked like.

Seriously though look me in the eye and tell me that those stories aren't bloated, exaggerated epics, full of needless and boring deatils that add nothing to the already thin story?

I can feel myself falling asleep just at the mention of the name.

Why not stick around for a bit and see if we can't all become friends?

He's definitely in need of some fluffing.
Oh wait, that sounds wrong.

I remember this place before there was anything other than /board. These halcyon days you're talking about never existed.
What did exist were days before people could reply to your tedious posts.

that I've spent years and years reading all kinds of writing and thus feel reasonably well-qualified to dismiss your output as embarrasing, turgid drivel so poorly-written it's as if it were composed by Spanky Hanky after he'd suffered a severe head injury. Overlong, epically tedious, self-aggrandising prickery of the first water.
Also, your inability to take light-thearted criticism marks you out as an oversensitive woofter.
tl:dr bye-bye then

or should I call you Spunk?
I'm really glad to hear you've read some books, and feel able to compare some posts I made to QOTW to actual, written, edited, published books. Because I don't.
Yes, there were days when I had a dream of becoming a writer, and yes, I used this place to hone my writing, much as a cat will use an armchair to sharpen its claws - and yes, sometimes I had virtual shoes lobbed my way from fellow posters for my troubles.
I can take criticism too, and if I appear cranky and petulant, it's because I'm out of practice; I really don't have the time these days to join in.
But seriously, all good topics have been done to death, and while some of reposts can make me laugh (again), you must admit that QOTW is last decade's news.
Nuff said, I'm a bit bored now, but feel free to keep on kicking this dead dog a bit longer if you like.

QOTW is fucking dreadful. Let's shake hands and leave it at that.
