I think, no matter what, music is a personal choice
My Mother listens to cuntry (Doris Day, Tammy Wynette, Cliff bastard Richard), my Dad to rock (Floyd, Queen, LEO etc.

My taste has changed over the years. I listen to all sorts. Trance, electro, hard house, pop, rock, indie, acoustic.
