I cannot decide what sort of gathering to have in June for my 40th. Small dinner with a select few, a massive piss up with a lot of people, or possibly both over the same weekend.

Both is a good idea

I think I'll probably go with a small dinner at a decent restaurant, probably 8-10 people.

I may just pretend mine's not happening at all.
Or go to my mother's for lunch or something.

I have also considered going to your mum's for my 40th.

Your 40th is free
as long as you get the card stamped for each visit

She's got quite a high step at her front door so bring climbing gear if you do.

(, Tue 15 Jan 2013, 10:28, Reply)
It's not been a problem on my previous visits.

(, Tue 15 Jan 2013, 10:29, Reply)
Do you go in the back door?

(, Tue 15 Jan 2013, 10:30, Reply)
Always.
