I have a CCJ for £2.7k, he won't pay.

Can you not use that to get your credit file cleared?

At least he can still get credit cards
even with a CCJ.

Surely though, that fact alone will help your credit score?

Many years ago I discovered that I had a terrible credit rating
All because I had never had any credit.
So I ended up paying in cash.
