There's ways and means, but it's rather tricky.
Cr3 had to rewrite a section of the site's code basically in order to ban Bou, a mad, stalky south african.

You can still post, but only you and the mods can see anything that you post.
It's a last resort they pull out when stepping/banning doesn't stop you persistent offenders.
