AhSo whats the difference between HD Ready and HDTV?

HD ready means it will accept a HD signal and display it, but that's all it meansit might only display it at a lower resolution though. "Full HD" is 1980x1080 pixels, some HDTvs are only 1366x720 or less. Depends if you have something that gives out full HD though.
A "HD ready" TV could be a SD display that accepts HD signals, and that would be legal.
