You want me to bore you with a list of my favourite albums of that era?

not especially, doubt we agree on the majority. how about we pick a band we both like from the period and agree on how great they were and how shite they are now?

Spiritualized?
Nine Inch Nails?
Primal Scream (though they are totes bipolar, no offence, occasional flashes of sheer brilliance, sometimes entire albums of duds)
Mogwai? Never recaptured the excellence of CODY.

they were certainly excellent at channeling my belated teenage angst. I lost interest around the time Starfuckers came out. I might have to make up a play list of the 5 or 6 songs of theirs that don't take me right back to The Bad Times.

Which is pretty surprising, considering how quickly electronic music dates. I gave Homework and Timeless a listen a few months back; Homework still sounds impeccable but there are a few tracks on Timeless that haven't aged at all well.
I remember being hugely excited about The Fragile, going off to Cardiff to buy it, getting it home, playing it and being fucking furious that Trent Reznor had taken five years to make such a crock of shit album.
True story yo xx

And I can't stand most pre-modernist literature. I studied Dickens and it was the most boring shit imaginable. In a bad way.
