Tonight's Bash
Hmmmm, the other half is going to see Morrisey tonight so I'm at a loose end. Can I be arsed to get a train to London to meet a bunch of weirdo strangers?

Yes,
yes you can.

Or I could make my ass become one with the couch. That's always fun.

Though lately not as much fun as usual since I went into the attic and pissed about installing a new aerial - typical man, I don't want to admit defeat and call out a tradesman.

Has a pub location been finalised?

I will ponder this long and hard
while I'm at the pub for lunch :)

Take a bottle
Of buckfast in a brown bag.

The journey will fly in.

Assuming you drink it of course...

Bucky?
What, did someone notice I'm from Fife?

Unfortunately I'm also currently one of those evil teetotaller thingies.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 13:06, Reply)
Surely
fay Fife. Or so I was led to believe.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 13:28, Reply)
Really?
You from Fife or has sarcasm once again defeated me?

Argh teetotaller!!!

*Makes cross with fingers**

Ya hoor, sir
You fae Fife then?

Actually, that fine beverage, Buckfast, is more associated with places like Coatbridge and Airdrie than the fine lands to the east.

Buckie
I remember playing football up at Airdrie a couple of years ago and couldn't believe the amount of empty Buckie bottles littered around the park.

God knows why it is so popular, it tastes like shit. It was never my tipple as a youngster, I was more Special Brew and Mad Dog.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 15:35, Reply)
^^
It was imbibed with impunity down Border way too, or at least in Hawick it was.
Along with Thunderbirds and Mad Dog 20/20.

I would say happy days but that would be a flagrant fabrication.

not forgetting
Tennants Super
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 15:37, Reply)
^

When we were about 16 or 17 we mixed Tennents Super and Merrydown to make a particularly lethal Snakebite.

I try to pass off being from St Andrews seeing as I lived there for 7 years but in truth home is *looks at feet* Glenrothes.
