wait, i've seen the list, its for the usa,
first family dog killer was a labrador, this screws everything up, still failing to see the bit that says it was well trained, where is that bit? cheers

Why does it matter if it was well trained.
All breeds can be badly trained

Hang on, you own a staffy don't you?

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:46, Reply)
yeh and she's DANGEROUS

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:47, Reply)
100% of staffie owners will defend them no matter what
so no point debating with you, even that dumb bitch whose staffie killed her own kid defended the dog.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:50, Reply)
i wasn't talking about my dog though,
i didn't realise i was even defending her, is she part of this discussion?
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:52, Reply)
also she's only partially staffy, seeing as you seem to want to talk about her.
i've got pics if you like too!
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:53, Reply)
because that's the exact point we were discussing wasnt it?
that it's the badness of the owner rather than the breed? i'm so confused.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:46, Reply)
Yes and I am saying that even well trained dogs can attack
so the breeds most likely to kill if they did snap probably shouldn't be kept as pets. Ie. the big strong ones
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:48, Reply)
i see what you mean
but also there is no evidence there that any of those dogs were not badly trained rather than well trained and just snapping

edit: though i should point out, if there were evidence of that then of course i would completely agree. i don't disagree even, i just havent seen any evidence other than what people reckon, so far here
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:49, Reply)
A large number of the deaths are children
So really the size of the dog is irrelevant.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:57, Reply)
oh, second one was a dog the family was keeping for a family friend, so not a family dog after all.
am i looking at the same info as you here?
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:46, Reply)
Probably
but there is no evidence that the majority of the dogs in the list were badly trained.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:47, Reply)
there's no evidence to say that they werent either
so i have no idea why you thought the list proved anything
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:48, Reply)
The list proves some breeds kill a lot more than others

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:49, Reply)
yeh i don't think anybody thought otherwise

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:49, Reply)
And those breeds are the ones that are also statisically more kept by bad owners who don't train and encourage aggression in their dogs
So?
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 13:58, Reply)
Also, Rotties/Pit Bulls are going to be skewed examples
as they are frequently kept as untrained guard dogs, so very much more likely to be in a situation where they attack
