Nope - Kevin Dempsey is still about and one of the others runs ArtSpace on Lower Holyhead road.I did see Martin Carthy.
It was very strange to be back in the Dog after all these years - spent pretty much every Friday night in there from age 15-19.

Dunno why I called him McCarthy! Was it a good gig?As you are somewhat younger than me I don't suppose you remember a Cov folk scene regular from the late 70's/early 80's called John Shanahan? I only ask because I recently found him on FB and he sent me a copy of his album (remember those) called 'Dance of flies' - really good stuff lyrically and musically.
