Who said the US torturing people was acceptable?

(, Mon 8 Apr 2013, 14:42, 1 reply, 12 years ago)
Nobody, stop side stepping the issue
I said she could clearly be defined as evil due to her support of Pinochet, you think that's a leap. I don't.

My example is that if you think torture is acceptable then you're pretty evil, what she did was a whole lot worse than just thinking that torture is acceptable.

Which bit of that don't you get?

You'd said that you didn't think the US and Pinochet were comparable.
And then said the US torturing people was evil. Hence my confusion.

Both the US and Pinochet's regieme have carried out acts with are, by both of our agreements, evil. Both were supported by UK governments. So, therefore, if we agree that supporting those that carry out acts of evil are evil themselves, then Thatcher is evil. As are Major, Blair, Brown and Cameron.

I still think you're diluting the value of "evil" here though. But hey, that's my opinion and right, just like it's yours to celebrate the death of a senile old woman.

I celebrated the fact that she went senile
today is just an opportunity to finish things off.

For some reason I've just had a fucking awful mental image
that you've been on the vinegars for about 8 years just waiting for today.
