I've seen things you people wouldn't believe
Greebos on fire off the shoulder of the Bull Ring. I've watched Chris Cornell pissing in the dark near Turnpike Lane. All those ... moments will be lost in time, like tears... in rain. Time to die.

I love this

The thing is
Having done my time at Neds, Poppies and Wonderstuff gigs, I can pretty much guarantee I have actually seen Greebos on fire.

I went to see a Neds gig at Wolverhampton Civic Hall
when they were years past their "popular" prime. WCH has a capaity of several thousand and there were maybe 800 or so there. It's the only time I've ever seen a 3 deep, 200 wide mosh pit with nothing at all behind it. It's a lot of dedication to music that can only be described as screaming over the sound of three bass guitars being thrown down a metal waste disposal chute.

I saw The Wonder Stuff and Jesus Jones at that very same venue about 12 years ago
Christ that was awful.

I rather like Jesus Jones

The thing is
Wonderstuff were a pretty good live experience, in the early 90s, if you were 18. Even Neds and Poppies were OK with the right crowd

I would imagine with them and me having aged 10 years in 2000, all the appeal would have gone.

I didn't really like them much in the first place
I only went to the reunion tour to accompany a mate.
Whatever appeal they may have had was almost certainly gone though.
