On an slowish day, a shift coordinator(that's the person who's actually doing the shop floor running of the ward) will deal with......the ward manager, the service manager, two bed managers, the matron, the audit administrator plus christ knows how many monkeys work as deputies/secretaries/cockgobbles for these cunts.

Oh yes, definatly, I quite agree.but to say the NHS doesn't need "a shit tonne of managers" isn't quite right.
I guess they could outsource it, 'cus that always goes so well.
