Though why it nags him when you start up your computer, I don't know.
Have you unticked the "check for updates automatically and nag Chompy about it" checkbox?

I've uninstalled instead.

so, you're angry at a product, that does everything you want fine, as long as you tick one box,
but instead of using the products features to make it the best it can be for you, you've removed it and call it shit, when you weren't using it properly.

Kind of sounds like a tantrum, to me.

I actually dislike the layout and functionality of the latest version of iTunes a lot
However, since I already have all my music on it, I can't be bothered to uninstall it and use Winamp.

How about if you could change what you didn't like by simply unticking a checkbox?

Then that would be fine
but I can't, so I stand by my condemnation of iTunes.
Honestly, you're worse than Battered with the silly hypothetical questions.

Sorry, I really don't know where that question came from.

I didn't like a product, so didn't use it.
When people talk about it, I say I didn't like it because it was shit.
And if the default settings are not the correct way for it to be set up then they shouldn't be default. Apples fault not mine
