I'm lucky in the respect that our local councillor works his arse off
and has the policies I'd be most inclined to vote for anyway.

No fucker at my work that I've asked so far even knows there are local elections. FFS

Problem is everyone just treats it as a popularity contest for Westminster
so a protest vote is likely to lead to a useless git being elected just because of which party they're in.

Am not worried about a UKIP foothold here because immigration and multiculturalism haven't happened to Norfolk yet
but yes you're right, and that pisses me off too. LOCAL elections. You know, for local people.
