It's not really the point though.
I mean, as I'm sitting there, on the sofa, curled up on the couch with her, her head resting on my chest, hollyoaks on the telly (she doesn't like it, but I let her watch that QI program that I pretend to dislike, so it's all fair really. We both agree 'No More PMQT'.)...as she sighs and says "You know what, i've not felt this way in years, I'm so safe around you" I don't want to be thinking "It's about midnight, closing time soon, I hope he doesn't make a scene again. The neighbours almost called the police last time.". Don't get me wrong, i'd never encouridge her to get an injunction out on him, she's the baby-daddy as they say these days, it's just that, I could do without it, you know what I mean?

Sure, it'll be nice being financially secure, living in that nice big home paid for mostly by her parents (who I get on well with, incidently). But after a year or soo, i'd like to put my stamp on the place, make some decoration choices; something tasteful where it's not all about keeping up with the jonese, and that would stir up feelings.

I don't know, I just don't know, I suppose it could work.
