How do you have a different moving date to year flatmate?
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:12, Reply)
Because we're living in different places.

Sorry, I should be careful what I say.
Otherwise, before I know it, people will be wondering why I'm going to a particular place for my birthday when I'm NOT REALLY GOING THERE AT ALL

Canning Town
Unfortunately, it's well over on the wrong side of London.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:28, Reply)
I like how they're broadly similar gaffs
but one's over twice the rent of the other cos of the postcode.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:30, Reply)
London, innit.

(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:31, Reply)
I think you may have overlooked the Pizza Express on the ground floor of the Whitehouse Apartments.
Well worth an extra £400 a week if you ask me.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:32, Reply)
The good thing about "downstairs"
is that it's not far to travel.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:39, Reply)
It's my main criterion when making gastro decisions, personally.
That and the possibility of a couple of free glasses of low quality fizzy white wine.

£1343 to over 3k/month for a two-bedroom place? Worked out thus(£weeklyx52/12). Glad I don't have to live there!

Edit - my place - a 3 bed semi with garage & gardens = less/month than the expensive one is/week!
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:36, Reply)
Fuck me
I've just done a gaff broadly similar to the Canning Town one today in the centre of Leeds for £850 a month.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:34, Reply)
3 figure rents, how quaint :'(

(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:37, Reply)
I remember them.

(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:40, Reply)
That's big money for Leeds too.

15 minutes by train for Leeds city centre.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:40, Reply)
The last place I rented was 150 quid a week.
Though I was living alone and had bills and commuting on top.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:41, Reply)
So £650 a month - always tends to be monthly in the good ol' North
How big was it?
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:45, Reply)
Plenty big enough.
It was in Slough, though. So there was that.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:46, Reply)
Sadly I am familiar with Slough
I can never scrub my skin hard enough to get the dirt out.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:50, Reply)
Poor old Nakers grew up there.
:(
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:52, Reply)
I was in Leeds today
It appears to be quite nice.
(, Wed 15 May 2013, 17:42, Reply)
I like it
Dozer gets evangelical about it, despite not living there.
