Stukas were a vital part of BlitzkriegOne of the major reasons Rommel eventually lost in North Africa (other than the Navy intercepting his supply ships using Ultra decrypts) is that the Jadgstaffel were more concerned with getting high fighter kill scores than providing ground support for tanks etc.
