That is easily one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. There is just no excuse for that kind of cruelty.

I remember reading something when I was a teenager about how somewhere out there (I think Korea) used to do something similar with dogs. The report (probably apocryphal, but it had an effect on me anyway) said that the meat had a better taste if the animals were still alive when they were skinned.
