I've had friends who have fallen into some really shitty holes because of them, getting one to pay off another while on benfits that get cut... but what could they do? They needed cash to eat and the DWP were fucking them around.
But i've got other friends who have used them as a top-up as they're intended, and its gotten them out of tight spots.
