i'm off to m&s to get picnic fodder and ingredients for starches and carbs and cheese in flavoured mayonnaises masquerading as salads. and hoping to blue crystal fuck that it doesn't rain.
what are you up to?
working at the weekend: necessary evil to get overtime/shift patterns/a lot more done? or a desperate evil that should never happen to anyone?

I'll be buying an entire fillet later and cutting into lovely, lovely steaks for a barbecue, I may even select some sausages. Hope your picnic plans all pan out and it doesn't rain. However the portents are not good - Glastonbury AND the British Grand Prix on the same weekend? It'll be a monsoon by lunchtime.
I don't work weekends any more (cue 'jobsworth clockwatcher' comments from the usual suspects)- used to but I don't have to now, my customers are all clockwatching jobsworths - woo!

In my line of work you work the hours the job dictates. If I can get away with a 30 hour week then great, but I don't moan if I have a 60 hour week.
