They were an odd band.
I have to say their records do absolutely fuck all for me, but people rave about them. One of the best music raconteurs is Rick Wakeman, I;d say. He has some funny old yarns, the cape-wearing oaf.

I'm not a huge fan, but he went on to produce albums for the cult and new model army and a few others.

Ian Hunter is much older than one might imagine. He was into his 30s when they hit bit in the early 70s.
He must be knocking on 80 now.
