Going to try and clear the bottom of the garden today so I can build some raised beds for veggies. I also need to work out just how to replace the wood/glass part of my greenhouse as only the brick base is OK

If you want to replace wood _and_ glass, put down some sort of plastic sheeting and sledgehammer the thing to bits. Roll it up in the sheeting and take it to the dump.
As for a replacement: If you have the cash, go for double glazing. There's nothing like fresh-from-the-vine cucumbers in late december.
