Alt: The programme on about the first British jet plane?

(, Tue 13 Aug 2013, 9:55, 1 reply, 12 years ago)
Yes Hartley.
Saw a bit of the air show, cool Vulcan bomber, and a Spitfire. It made me want to run about with my arms outstretched, pretending to be a plane, like we did in the playground. Do kids do that now?

The Sunderland air show is fucking brilliant

This was Blackpool.
I didn't go to the actual show, just saw the planes low-flying over the town and beach.

I saw the Red Arrows, a Short flying boat and the Vulcan from Whitley Bay beach

The Vulcan is ace.
Argentina, watch out.

Have you read the book on Operation Black Buck?

Haven't no.
I'll check a mate, he's a massive paper/Kindle library on military stuff. Any good?

Really interesting how they did it
Something like 17 Vulcans flew just to get one to Port Stanley and back
