I became a godfather last week. It was all very champagne on the lawn. Thankfully I'm pretty good at all that, but I absolutely hate it.
Alt: I was inches away from having dreadlocks and joining a commune. Thankfully I woke up.

Altalt: mid-morning snack: a banana or an apple - the choice is mine.

Altaltalt: all the time. One time I had a massive argument on-line with a prick, calling each other pricks. Proper laying into each other (in a cyber-way, so not really at all). He stopped responding. "Come on, prick!" I goaded, and goaded. Didn't hear from him for months. Then his mate comes on-line - turns out the fucker had been victim of a hit-and-run, hundreds of stiches, organ loss, broken bones - the lot. Still - he was being a prick.

It was during our argument.
We're both completely stubborn, self-important dickheads, and were arguing a point on a political/cultural messageboard. We're both well-established members, and "know" each other very well.

I did feel genuinely bad about the whole thing.

Thankfully it was all OK in the end, and he and his girlfriend came and stayed with Mrs Vagabond and I, and spent a lovely evening arguing face-to-face.
