Pointless and unenforceablePrison staff are being cut to the bone ready for privatisation - when there's 3 or 4 staff looking after 150+ prisoners there won't be any chance to check for anything - the places are awash with drugs as it is.
I sometimes wonder if the government employs people to think up "who can we be seen to be giving a kicking to" stories on a weekly basis, so the middle classes can feel smug as the country goes further down the shitter.
