fuckin bored though...hoping this'll be my last week tbh,lots of work is being passed over.

How long have you been at your current place? Are you aiming for partner or is it a step to somthing better?

you're not going to abandon us when you start the new job, are you??
about 7 years. being groomed for partnership. but all lawyers have to be realistic about that these days............. it's not like it used to be when it was a rite of passage. basically, if your best mate doesn't happen to be head of legal at a massive bank/insurer/property company/retail chain, you can forget it!

I dunno...I hope it's rewarding enough that I don't want to be here..
add to that their firewalls...well we'll have to wait and see. Plus I'll hve minions so should probably set a good example.

well I'm getting on and need to crack on with the old career
I reckon I'll stop working in London when I'm forty, so i need to be senior enough and experienced enough by then to head something up out of town. Or be running my own business...who knows
