If you didn't like the book you probably won't like the film. It translated pretty well.
I think there are probably better Welsh novels but turning them into films may be difficult.

See, with Irvine Welsh I only like Trainspotting, The Acid House and Marabou Stork NightmaresEverything else has been dreadful, especially Skagboys.

I've not read marabou stork. I didn't mind Skagboys it was about twice as long as it needed to be.
Juice is great too.
