The Godfather films.
I didn't watch them until a couple years ago and they weren't *that great*

I enjoyed them, but not as amazing as people say.

Suppose they would have been groundbreaking for the time.

My opinion on 3 is that if it were a standalone film people would think its good
but because 1 and 2 were so good it seems bad in comparison.
