Let's change the subject, eh?
I went to the funeral of my old teacher last week
Has a teacher ever inspired you?

alt:What teacher memories haunt you the most?

alt:alt: What was you favourite school memory?

Not really, I went to a boys grammar school where middle of the road lazy underachieving fellows like me were overlooked
Alt: the maths teacher who was both a paedophile and a scout leader who's speedy exit from the school during my GCSE year probably helped our class obtain the lowest grades thanks to that and a fucking PE teacher being dragged out of retirement to 'teach 'us.
Altalt: Throwing a chair at a teacher, getting detention for 'smiling' and receiving an award for getting the most detentions during a school term. Also, the letter home for 'racist bullying'.

As a side note, a few years ago I happened to meet two teachers of mine who were in the same pub as me. We had a chat, they were both decent chaps although we didn't see eye to eye at school, and one in particular remembered me quite well and summed up my problems with the school with alarming accuracy and clarity. It was kind of nice that it was noticed.

Alt:
At prep school I walked in to the changing rooms (I was about 9 years old) & found the sports master helping another pupil to fit a cricket box over his privates.

In November.

I happened to mention this to my mother a few days later. The teacher wasn't there the following week.

There was a PE teacher at mine who like to 'check' the boys were washing themselves properly in the showers.

I think they view that sort of thing as a perk of the job, so to speak.

It's always boys though, you don't often hear about nonces at girls schools.

My old Physics teacher Dr Parsons, was renowned for making special things in the school lab
I'm sure that he ran the entire LSD production during that decade

several of our teachers were so ineffectual and held so little authority that they inspired us to bully them into a nervous breakdown

When I was doing my Media Studies GCSE
we were looking at Thelma & Louise and I did a bit of brown-nosing by bringing in an issue of Empire I had with an interview with the screenwriter of said film. The teacher never gave it back and inspired me to never lend anything to anyone ever, especially people who say "can I have a borrow of..."

Alt: I was collecting the fucking magazine at the time.

Altalt: Doing poppers (yeah, I know) behind a copy of Richard II in English Lit. Would've been better if it was Richard III.
