why is it that the day before you go away, when you have all your work planned out in nice neat to do lists that people will NOT STOP calling and emailing you?

and do people think that holidays cause more stress than they alleviate, what with the getting ready and the desk tidying and the file maintenance and the telling everyone you'll be away and the 32 sides of holiday notes....

Happens to me everytime.
I get all my work done days earlier because I know that on the last day before my holiday.....everyone and their granny will ring me or have a query.

I really can't stand
having to do the same amount of work overall even though I'll be away from my desk for a couple of weeks.

It means either putting in loads of extra hours before the holiday, or catching up like a muthafupper when I get back.
