People ask this every year, but...
I'm going to Leeds Festival, and we're buying food individually - too many people have too many food issues.
Anyway, what should I take with me?
I was thinking bacon, beans, pot noodles, dried fruit, some sort of bread, and biscuits.
Any other suggestions?
Edit: by the way, I've been before, but I'm trying to be more self-sufficient this year and not get fleeced at the food stalls.

I know...
about the dried fruit - that's just for some much needed vitamins. It won't be a meal of any sort!!!

TOP TIP
Fill a 4 pint (rinsed out) plastic milk container with the beverage of your choice and thread your belt through the handle, thus attaching drink to hip. If you also take a plastic cup, you can regularly decant drink without fear of misplacing it - also leaving a free hand.
As for scoff, a pack of breakfast bars is handy. And nuts.

I wouldn't be seen dead
at a festival without a Fortnum and Masons Kensington hamper, I mean 3 days without my strawberry and champagne jam, piccadilly biscuits and Port would be just ghastly

In my experience
Meat is a bad idea as its likely to go off.
Bread can be bad as it gets all squashed as you carry everything to the festival.
I didn't take any food to T in the Park. Unfortunately I took a knife and it ended up in someones face :( Whoopsy daisy

@ al
Oops! Silly me, I neglected to specify on the type of nuts.....
Did you think I meant dry roasted?
I was, of course, referring to the hairy sacks of testosterone ;o)

Just get spanked....
by the kiosks. 'Spensive but worth it IMO. Cooking is a complete ballache, always takes much longer than expected. The only thing worth taking with you is a hob and kettle and some of those just add water cheapo snacks one can procure. They do come in hand if you run out of money.
Also pringles are awesome. Take a hip flask of whiskey. Oh and bars of chocolate for when you are lagging a bit in the afternoon.
Worked for me at Glasto.

I'm a big fan
of pasta and a jar of spaghetti sauce. Boil the pasta, rinse it, put it on the plate, then pour sauce over the hot noodles- the noodles will heat the sauce on your plate (especially as it's already warm and not refrigerated), and it's a minimal mess to clean up- the pan can basically be rinsed, and the paper plate discarded. Cheap and it won't go bad if you wait a day or two to cook it.

Pheonix Festival
I went in '94 and took nothing but a large pile of acid with me. I was completely skint and couldn't afford to feed myself, but lady luck was smiling on me as they were trialling a new crisp by the name of Doritos, which meant that for an entire weekend I ate nothing but.
My stomach didn't forgive me for a whole week afterwards.

camper van
4 people could easily afford to rent it for the weekend. Stock up your fridge, live like Kings, sneer at the proles.

festival diet
Super noodles
Pot noodles
All day breakfasts (in the tins)
Cake bars
I find freezing a bottle of milk, then wrapping it in tin foil keeps it fresh for a few days, so you can have cereal for breakfast for the first couple of days.
In fact anything that can be eaten stright out of a tin is good!
And beer. Remember the beer!

Ah yes
The shitting.
I'm not one who fears long drops, just take plenty of bog roll for the seat, and pull your shirt over your nose.
Easy.
Oh and by the way - TUNA? In a festival? In the middle of summer? No thanks...

what has the middle of summer got to do with it?
it's not like it's actually going to be hot/anything other than raining?
so fuck you and the horse you rode in on
Just had a brainwave/flashback: best festival experience I ever had was at Roskilde in Denmark. Ate nothing but danish pastries and magic mushrooms.
I recommend this formula

Woah
Perhaps I was a little too dismissive.
I'm not risking taking any form of stimulants in with me - in my line of work you can't be too careful!
