I can't - that's why I employ them.
In other news, is there a site, or one of those fucking 'life hacks' that anyone can recommend in order to find reliable tradesmen? Fucking plumbers - I have never met a reliable one. I don't mind paying - I couldn't do what they do. But really - a text message (instead of call simply saying 'Not coming call office to make new appointment'?!

Gaaaaah!

What area of the world are you in?

A leafy, tree-lined avenue in London.

There are no reliable plumbers.
because they all know most people are screwed without them, so they can fuck about as much as they like.

Not really. I'm sure there are some OK ones about. Although, in the last 4 months I have had 5 separate companies look at my central heating/hot water (not because it is broken but because I think it's weird) and the best they can manage?

"I honestly have no idea how that is working. It really shouldn't be"
"well can you sort it?"
"I have no idea. I wouldn't like to touch it"

I have a dependable crew of plumbers who
turn up same day I call them, and that's regularly.
Not to Camden though.

The problem is when you move.
I've had good ones before but they are usually unwilling to travel to different countries.

I ent.
Last time we had a plumber from there, he wanted to charge us £500 for a job that ended up taking 10 minutes and costing £1-50.
