almost anything that is on the list for the majority of pubs is shite,
decent whiskey is made in small batches and is therefore expensive and therefore not going to appear in any chain pub anywhere.
It's so depressing when blokes used to come in to the pub to "impress with their whiskey knowledge" and end up ordering some bog standard scotch blend shite.

I dunno, plenty of bars stock Auchentoshan, Glenfarclas and Bruichladdich.
And some blends are better than most malts. Naked Grouse and Hibiki, for example.
