I wish I had an interview next Friday afternoon.
I just got a knockback from a job I applied for that I could do standing on my head. I might ask them why I wasn't shortlisted.

Surely it won't look too bad by then?

Sorry to hear that - good idea to ask for feedback.
Depth + length of one cut (4" cut down my thumb) definitely won't have gone away. Problem is people notice small things & immediately disregard you in this job market - no matter how competent you are.
