Out for an Indian tonight, with a lady.
Sunday afternoon - cricket, grudge match against our main rivals. Although rain is forecast.

Rest of the weekend, including Monday - decorating. Hurrah.

Is Monday a McBank Holiday?

(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:22, Reply)
It is in the Fister household
The kids are at their mum's this weekend, so I just decided to take Monday off to get the wallpapering finished - hopefully.

We get the English bank holidays, plus 2nd January.

Is your lad still part of your starting XI?

He's got all the kit but he doesn't play so much these days.
His volleyball is pretty much full on now. He plays U18 and also Men's National League 2nd division. Their season's just finished but trials for the UK School Games start in 3 weeks, so there's not much let up.

It's a shame really cos he's a cracking fielder and with a bit of work his batting could be really good.

England supposed to be playing Scotland in Aberdeen today - it's raining. FFS.

That's a relief frankly, the English cricket team doesn't need any further embarassment
Glad Fister Jr is still keeping up the sports though mate. I remember you saying how keen he was, even if he is eschewing a proper sport.

Still bloody raining in Aberdeen. Doesn't make for the most exciting radio commentary.
Yeah he's 16 now and been playing vball since he was 7. My daughter plays as well. They both got picked to play for Scotland East & North at the UKSG in Sheffield last year. Dead chuffed - although it did mean I had to watch 12 games over 3 days. That makes for a sore arse.

You should check out men's international volleyball on YouTube. It's fucking brutal.
