Christ, is that still going?
Weekend plans etc. I've got an OU tutorial in Cambridge in the morning, then home for furious packing/tidying/giving keys to people so they can feed the cats, hopefully all done before Eurovision starts, then 5-odd hours on a coach that arrives at Gatwick at the hitherto undiscovered hour of 4.30am at Gatwick, then flying to Spain and staying there for a fortnight.

Top that.

Alt: Lunch? Is it that time?

AltAlt: Cast of Baywatch (classic), kill/shag/marry

This appears to be a VERY well timed holiday!
Mrs Cow is being given loads of wine today as its the year 11 leavers assembly today. This is a good thing as they will probably all be red, which she doesnt like

Yeah the weather forecast over here is reet bobbins
Although last time I went on holiday to Spain in May the rain fell mainly fucking everywhere, constantly.

We're talking about weather. We're middle-aged aren't we.
(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:24, Reply)
It rained in Tenerife on the Friday
I was not happy though after that the weather got even better
(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:25, Reply)
I'm mostly going to have to study while we're out there
but I can think of worse places to study than a beach in southern Spain

Out for an Indian tonight, with a lady.
Sunday afternoon - cricket, grudge match against our main rivals. Although rain is forecast.

Rest of the weekend, including Monday - decorating. Hurrah.
(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:21, Reply)
Is Monday a McBank Holiday?

(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:22, Reply)
It is in the Fister household
The kids are at their mum's this weekend, so I just decided to take Monday off to get the wallpapering finished - hopefully.

We get the English bank holidays, plus 2nd January.

Is your lad still part of your starting XI?

(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:25, Reply)
He's got all the kit but he doesn't play so much these days.
His volleyball is pretty much full on now. He plays U18 and also Men's National League 2nd division. Their season's just finished but trials for the UK School Games start in 3 weeks, so there's not much let up.

It's a shame really cos he's a cracking fielder and with a bit of work his batting could be really good.

England supposed to be playing Scotland in Aberdeen today - it's raining. FFS.
(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:29, Reply)
That's a relief frankly, the English cricket team doesn't need any further embarassment
Glad Fister Jr is still keeping up the sports though mate. I remember you saying how keen he was, even if he is eschewing a proper sport.
(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:33, Reply)
Still bloody raining in Aberdeen. Doesn't make for the most exciting radio commentary.
Yeah he's 16 now and been playing vball since he was 7. My daughter plays as well. They both got picked to play for Scotland East & North at the UKSG in Sheffield last year. Dead chuffed - although it did mean I had to watch 12 games over 3 days. That makes for a sore arse.

You should check out men's international volleyball on YouTube. It's fucking brutal.

I've got micro for the weekend. Original plans need amending as it's going to be pissing down all weekend.
Might take her to the toddler cinema, probably make some puppets, do some cooking together.

Lunch may be lager.
(, Fri 9 May 2014, 11:22, Reply)
I've got the missus coming up to look after me and cook for me all weekend
It's also our two year anniversairy, which is nice.

Alt: No idea, fancy a McDonalds though.

It's like that Nestle boycott from a few years ago. Turns out it's not just chocolate they make. I gave up when I found out they owned the company that made my contact lens solution. I mean FFS, that's just cheating.

I don't think I've ever had a holiday longer than a week
I'm usually happy to be going home at the end of it. I think I'd prefer a week away somewhere then a week of lazing about in a dressing gown with early morning cocktails, watching a whole series of something in a day and doing cooking experiments.

This weekend I will be doing tip runs and cooking chilli frog dogs.

Alt: Yeah, fruit and 0% fat yoghurt. Exciting times.

Altalt: Nicole Eggert for all three. In that order.

I actually knew her more from a film she did with the two Coreys
I remember the first time I saw that blonde from Steps after she'd put some weight on and I was convinced it was just an Eddie Murphy style fatsuit and it was some kind of stunt.
