Time - it's a bastard ain't it?
I've just been to get some provisions in for tonight. Walking around the aisles I noticed a familar looking person that it took me a while to place, then it smacked me in the face.
I had worked with her around 15 years back in the DSS. Back then she was petite and pretty, probably a perfect 10 figure; very easy on the eye and with a fairly hefty chest (but not too hefty).
Today, she was jowly, haggard-looking and her chest had expanded and relocated to somewhere around her burgeoning Pirelli factory.
Funnily enough, she didn't seem to recognise me (but then again, I am somewhat hairier and not as sylph like as I used to be myself either).
Ho-hum. This getting old lark is not all it's cracked up to be sometimes...

tis all in the mind
My plan is to stay young at heart - who am I kidding, I'll never be a proper grown-up - and avoid mirrors.
The Boots No 7 Refine & Rewind serum is better that the Perfect & Protect.
And all the antioxidants in red wine are anti-aging....

You're telling me
I'm scanning in old 35mm pics from up to 18 years ago.
Lemon-flavoured Bob on a Bike, this is depressing.
There are photos there from when I had a pair of 32" waist 501's. Which fitted. With minimal overhang.
*sobs*
*reconsiders gym membership*
Although to be fair there are some bloody awful hair days in there as well.

Have you done that thing were you lift your face up with your fingers at the temples?
I look 30 again when I do that.
I might grow my hair really long and have a chav facelift.

It's depressing.
A mate of mine posted some photos of yours truly on faecebook from 12 years ago and I was shocked at how much slimmer I was.
Granted, peroxide blonde hair was a definite fashion mistake but God Damn I looked pretty good.
Now larger, hairier, less toned and looking slightly like my Dad did when I was 5. Bugger the passing of time.
