Kroney's shiny new knives
Kaol would be proud. After a night out in a rather cool new bar that's opened up in lovely Guildford, I went to do a bit of shopping yesterday. I decided that I needed some new kitchen knives to go with the nice new pans. Yes, I'm feeling all kitcheny recently.

So I trot along to Dyas.

They had a couple of Sabatier sets, one for 20, the other for 25 quid. I figure that 20's enough to spend until I find out that the 25 set was reduced from 60 notes.

Woot! Bargain.

Tell me your stories of bargainosity.

Edit: My whole weekend wasn't this nerdy. I had a dream involving the lovely ladies of our Sales Support team in a bikini contest. Wonderful.

I bought a lovely kitchen knife a few months ago
It's the best knife I've ever had and I use it for almost everything.

It's smaller than a cleaver and has a rounded end.

The best bit is that it is officially (on the box) called...

Jap Knife

Woo yay!
I'm proud!

One day I'm gonna get myself a really decent set of kitchen knives, Global or Sabatier.

At the moment I've got an ok bunch, but one day... I'll have a knife sharp enough to cut the world in half.

I got a tv last week
It had just been reduced because it was an old model, and then it was also an ex-display model, so I think I saved about 20 percent in the end.

I was tres happy. And now I has a tres big tv for my flat!

£50, reduced from £250. From T K Maxx, of all places!

Yerp
I've got a set of Globals - perfect for slicing your fingers open. Razor sharp.
Seriously though, it's really satisfying to do the fancy chopping they do on t.v..... until you fuck up that is.

I'll always remember...
After a hasty move-out from an ex I was living with for a short while, I'd left my cheap and crap kitchen knives behind, along with pretty much all my kitchen stuff.

I didn't really realise this until I was trying to cut a bunch of raw chicken off the bone.
This was a bit of a problem... No kitchen knives... My pocket knife was filthy... My other stab-tastic knives were deeply packed away.

Hmmm...

I glanced across to my lab coat... I could use my dissection kit...

So yes, I washed the handle, I clicked on a clean scalpel blade and I cut that chicken up with the sharpest blade imaginable.
