Google have decided to further their efforts to own the whole internet
by making their own browser.

Complete with 30-odd page comic

The comic was awesome
I'm now going to install because I know what's good about it - Without the comic I'd not have bothered because I'm lazy and couldn't be arsed to find out what chrome is all about. Hooray for interesting marketing!

Cool
I do love my FF3 though, so will hold off installing it for a while til I hear more great things about it

My first post from chrome
It seems awesomely good so far. Will have to download it at work. I can even resize the "message" box when typing a message! Couldn't do that in FF3.
(, Tue 2 Sep 2008, 21:48, Reply)
Ok I downloaded it
And it seems a hell of a lot faster than FF!

O Rly?
Dammit, now I'm very tempted. *resigns self to a late night finding out how to do everything in chrome*

I think once you use it a lot it will become a lot easier
As it takes a while figuring out where your bookmarks have gone haha!

I am quite liking it. I am sure B3ta will make it on to my "most visited" page on the new tabs!

I'm still reading the cartoon
Oh bugger, I like using foxmarks, but I do need to be more adaptable... :)

To be honest
After reading the comic and spending all of 2 minutes playing with the three buttons directly to the right of the address bar it all made sense.

Probably some exciting features I'm not using (as was probably true of FF3). Maybe I'll spend some time playing one day.

Hmmm
it'll let me scroll down the page (laptop), but not back up again. So far not that impressed if it wont even let me do that.
(, Tue 2 Sep 2008, 22:38, Reply)
That scrolly problem sounds wank
Thoughts after a bit of use

The good
Being able to move tabs around from one window to another or to create new windows is really good.

The Bad
Youtube videos seems to freeze up briefly if you resize or move the window they're playing in. That might happen anyway though but I've only noticed it since using chrome.

Animations seem to be slow, too

That's way slower than on FireFox

does it have mouse gestures?
if it doesn't, I'm not interested!
(, Wed 3 Sep 2008, 8:24, Reply)
works well at home
doesn't work at all at work.
